Suitable for Cardiologists and Radiologists looking to build the skills and case‑volume required for independent Level 2 cardiac CT reporting, this cardiac imaging course provides 35 CME points. Join us at the Le Meridien Bangkok and enjoy exploring this stunning and exciting city.
Leading to BSCI accreditation and working towards SCCT, this course will take you through contrast‑enhanced cardiac CT 150 cases, preparing you to independently interpret coronary CT angiography (CCTA) under appropriate clinical governance.
Didactic lectures are woven into the curriculum covering physics, acquisition, reconstruction, radiation safety, contrast use, coronary and structural heart interpretation, and non‑cardiac findings, and supported with supervised hands‑on case reporting using a GE workstation. You’ll cover a wide range of coronary and extra‑coronary cardiac pathologies, with carefully selected cases designed to broaden exposure and enhance the learning experience for all delegates.
Our Cardiovascular CTA Imaging Level 2 Training Course is delivered by an experienced faculty, with over 40 years experience teaching Coronary CT Angiography (CCTA) interpretation. Led by Dr Azhar Khokhar, Head of Cardiology and Cardiac Imaging at the Essex Cardiothoracic Centre, and supported by Dr Ermanno Capuano, the team offer a relaxed atmosphere, with lots of opportunity for questions and discussion.

Cardiac CT Course FAQs
-
The course is suitable for Radiologists and Cardiologists aiming to independently report CTCA, meet BSCI/BSCCT or SCCT Level 2 accreditation requirements, or progress toward Level 3.
-
Yes. Delegates work directly on dedicated workstations, interpreting real CTCA cases under the guidance of Level 3–accredited cardiac imaging experts.
-
Yes. All Level 2 courses provide 40 CME/CPD credits, with a certificate of CME provided on completion of the course.
-
Yes. To achieve Level 2 accreditation, delegates must complete a logbook of 150 cases, which will be provided as part of this course. You will then need to independently report 25 more live cases under supervision within your clinical setting in order to apply for BSCI level 2 accreditation.
-
For BSCI accreditation, in addition to completing a Level 2 course with 150 cases, you must provide:
Proof that you are a Consultant, Specialty Trainee, or Specialty Doctor in Radiology, Cardiology, or Cardiothoracic Surgery.
Evidence of 16 hours of CPD in Cardiac CT.
A completed logbook demonstrating the required case exposure (your 150 cases from a Level 2 course meet this requirement).
Application fee payment (£175 for members / £250 for non‑members; fast‑track options cost more).
Online application submission via the BSCI portal (email/post applications are not accepted).
-
No you do not need Level 1 first as this will be covered in the programme for Level 2.
